Sloneek made data migration easier for us and significantly simplified HR management. It is intuitive, user-friendly, and support responds quickly. Many tasks can be completed with just one click.

FLO is a young digital consulting company focused on integrating services in branding, technology, and customer experience. It is based in the Czech Republic and Australia, but its territory is the global market. FLO offers personalized “boutique” consulting, where a small team of experts carries out transformational projects for large companies.

At FLO, they combine digital consulting, creative services, and technological innovations, connecting business and IT, and providing strategic consultations and solutions to enhance customer experience.

HR at FLO

HR at FLO is responsible for employees divided into several teams across different countries. Therefore, it is necessary to maintain order in processes, as well as have everything available online remotely. The company has branches in Australia and the Czech Republic. Some employees work in a hybrid mode, while others in Prague, Brno, and Plzeň use office spaces.

Since FLO knows very well how a software solution can streamline workflow, they were managing their HR agenda through an HRIS. However, due to the company’s growth, they needed new features that the current tool did not offer, so they decided to make a change. This opened the way for Sloneek.

“Our company is growing, so I needed a tool to help with the growing agenda and bring order to it. At the same time, we were looking for a partner who would assist with data migration into the system and be available if we needed to make adjustments or get advice,” says Maria Makarenko, a representative of the FLO team.

The company management, together with HR, decided to give Sloneek a chance.

Sloneek Implementation

FLO implemented Sloneek during December 2024. They gradually familiarized themselves with individual modules such as attendance, tools, activities, absences, and documents. The official launch took place at the beginning of the new year 2025.

“When implementing Sloneek, we obviously had concerns about how the system would work and especially what kind of support we would get and how fast. But we were pleasantly surprised,” describes Makarenko and adds: “Whenever I needed advice, I knew who to call, and I would get an immediate response.”

Customer support was also complemented by several tutorial videos and detailed instructions, so HR quickly adapted to the new system. The employees also started using it to request vacation time or sign contracts online. In the near future, FLO plans to create an overview of the organizational structure within Sloneek.

HR also appreciates the possibility of giving regular feedback and highlighting some application shortcomings, such as employee profile previews or vacation records for atypical work schedules.

“Working with feedback from our clients is completely natural for us. How else could HR software be developed if not through the experiences of individual HR professionals? We are very grateful for the insights, not only from FLO. They help us prioritize work on further improvements,” says Milan Rataj, founder of Sloneek.

Comparison and Selection of HRIS

Since FLO was using a different HR software before Sloneek, we were curious about how they compare it to their previous system.

“Working with Sloneek is intuitive. I really appreciate the user-friendliness and simplicity. The previous system was more complicated, and one had to search for where each function was. In Sloneek, many things are just a click away, whereas with the previous system, it took four clicks,” explains Maria Makarenko.

At FLO, they also appreciate the ability to use the app, which allows both HR and employees to manage important matters directly from their phones. The document signing module also made their work easier, speeding up the approval process. They are also satisfied with the tools module, which didn’t work well in the previous system, so they didn’t use it.

So what should a company considering an HRIS take into account, according to FLO?

“I would primarily recommend testing the system. Create a test user in the app and try out the basic processes that you will use daily,” advises FLO team representative Makarenko.
